What operating system images are available for UEDEVGAMES workspaces?

UEDEVGAMES offers three base images: Alpine 3.19 (minimal, ~50MB), Ubuntu 22.04 (full Linux server), and Debian 12 (stable, well-documented). All images include SSH, nginx, and supervisor pre-installed. You can also deploy from Marketplace products like AI Interviewer or ComfyUI Cloud.

What is the difference between Docker and Kata runtimes?

Docker containers share the host kernel and provide fast startup with low overhead. Kata microVMs run inside a lightweight VM using CRI-O with containerd-shim-kata-v2, providing kernel-level isolation between tenants. Choose Docker for speed, Kata for security.

How does BYOD GPU hosting work?

Register your personal GPU at uedevgames.com/host-gpus.html. Install Docker and run uedev-agent register --token YOUR_TOKEN, then uedev-agent run --token YOUR_TOKEN. The agent polls for approved workloads, starts containers locally, and opens SSH reverse tunnels so your workspace is accessible at {sub}.uedevgames.com.

Can I SSH into my workspace?

Yes. Each workspace is assigned a unique SSH port (22000 + tenant ID). Use ssh root@uedevgames.com -p PORT with the auto-generated password shown on the Connect page. BYOD workspaces are also accessible via SSH reverse tunnel.
